About Anne Duke
My mother had a green thumb and my father was a desert botanist. As my three sisters and I grew up we were influenced by our mother's pleasure in her flower gardens and our father's love of hiking the mountains of the Mohave Desert. The subjects of many of my watercolor paintings are these same flowers, trees, and desert mountains. My artwork is my attempt to express the essence of a lifetime of appreciation for the beauty of God's Creation. It is my joy to paint and to share this appreciation with others.

I love this - it reminds me of a ghost print. This would be very hard for me to do because I'd want to keep "working" on it. But that is just what I like about this - the hazy, blurry imprints of the flowers. Well done!
